Frankfort FUSION (10u) Fights Back in Loss to Tinley Park Bulldogs

Frankfort FUSION (10u)’s effort to come back from down five runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 8-7 to Tinley Park Bulldogs on Sunday. Frankfort FUSION (10u) scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a single by Olivia A, a walk by Makenzie F, and a triple by Mia S.

Frankfort FUSION (10u) was right in it until Tinley Park Bulldogs doubled in the fourth inning.

Tinley Park Bulldogs took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Emily grounded out, scoring one run and Sofia doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Lexie was on the rubber for Tinley Park Bulldogs. The hurler went three innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out five.

Mia toed the rubber for Frankfort FUSION (10u). Mia went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three. Kaylee S and Isabella A entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and two innings respectively.

Frankfort FUSION (10u) totaled seven hits. Kamrym S and Mia all collected multiple hits for Frankfort FUSION (10u). Mia and Kamrym each managed two hits to lead Frankfort FUSION (10u).

Sofia went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Tinley Park Bulldogs in hits. Lilly led Tinley Park Bulldogs with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases. Tinley Park Bulldogs didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lexie had the most chances in the field with four.
